How to monitor and track a @User?

Followthehashtag is developed to search any kind of content in Twitter, not only hashtags. If you want to monitor and track tweets about a particular @username you can do it using “Advanced search” and tracking this search with a SearcBot.

Here there is a step by step tutorial

The first thing is to decide what kind of tweets we want to monitor and track about a particular @username, we can monitor:

  • Tweets emitted by a particular user: We must use in advanced search “From” feature or type, directly in search box  from:username (without @)
  • Tweets emitted to a particular user: We must use in advanced search “To” feature or type, directly in search box  to:username (without @)
  • Tweets mentioning a particular user: We must use in advanced search “Mention” feature or type, directly in search box  @username (with @)
  • Any combination is allowed, for example Tweets from and to a @username (from:username to:username) or Tweets that mention a @username but not tweets directly sent to a username (@username -to:username)

After making a satisfactory search, next step is to track it. It`s very simple, click on orange “Track” button and set a Searchbot. This action will monitor for 15 days the search.
